Pair of Mod Tom Dixon Celluloid Jack Tables

895.00

Tom Dixon Sculpture-Like contemporary mod Jack Tables are made from plastic that use the process of rotary moulding.  First designed as lamps, the Jack Light was first launched in 1994 and became somewhat of a design icon. Dixon fell into the design of the Jack Light by accident when he found himself with “time on his hands" while recovering from a motorcycle accident. As an art school drop-out with no technical training, he taught himself how to become a designer/creator in 1983 after discovering welding when trying to repair his motorbike which led to the design of the industrial-like Jack Light. This table version of the iconic design features circular glass tops and work well as side tables or split up to create a smaller coffee table in any modernist home or midcentury influenced interior with a contemporary flair. Each table measures 30” x 20.5” and are in excellent, gently used condition.
