Midcentury Secretary Desk by John Van Koert for Drexel

695.00

In great vintage condition this is an perfectly designed midcentury modern drop down secretary desk unit manufactured and stamped by Drexel and created by John Van Koert. Desk top opens down to reveal white celluloid trays which slide out for easy organization of needed accessories centered by two deep and boxy utility drawers. This desk is ideal for artists or home office and is finished by three large drawers on the bottom all of which are adorned with their original "tear drop" brass hardware. Case is structurally sound and built of solid wood with legs molded right into the frame itself. The only imperfection to the piece is some visible rubbing from years of use on some of the slide out tray tops, but other than that near mint condition. One could even double it up as a dresser. Measures 34” X 20.5” X 28”
